Our brand new album, Back To Følk (Music from Følkland) was published 8th September 2016.
South of Magna Hungaria, where the Knuckle-constellation glows, lies a little archipelago called Folkland Islands. It is onto these islands that some Magyari-speaking tribes fled from the Somazi, and of whom Brother Desiderius makes mention in the 10th century, AD. „Haeving no ships o’ their own whatsoever, they did taketh the isles with their horses strong. They were indeed wickedly attack’d by sea creatures of all description: otters, caymans, sea-hedgehogs, sea-lions and the liketh, but Great Folklorman did haeve all this armada of animalia crush’d into pieces, in utmost glory, and did findth a new land for his people brave.” The inhabitants of Folkland have been waiting for a ship to rescue them since the 10th century, and keeping their tradition, they continue to live their horse-nomadic lives. According to the Book of Law laid down by (Great) Folklorman I., they heed and follow the path of the Holy Sparrow, and in doing so, they set up their tents on different parts of the island as necessary.

Legutóbb 2013-ban jelentettünk meg stúdiólemezt, a Fonogram-díjas Folklore Mant. Itt volt az ideje tehát, hogy előálljunk valami igazán újjal, amire már nem is kell sokáig várnotok. 2016. szeptember 8-án megjelenik legújabb lemezünk, Back To Følk (Music from Følkland) címmel. Ezúttal egy igazán különleges utazásra szeretnénk elvinni benneteket, amelyben elhozzuk nektek a ősi Følklānd-szigeteken maradt mågyarï kolónia zenéjét. A szigetcsoport Magna Hungáriától délre terül el, arra amerre a Csülök-csillagkép ragyog. A szomáziak elől ide menekült mågyarïakról Desiderius testvér tesz említést a X. században: „Hajøïk nem levén, løval vevêk be az szïgetet. S menênek reājuk vïdrāk és kajmānøk, tengerï sünök és føkāk, de Hős Følklôrmān széjjel veretê az āllatok seregêt nagy dïcsősêgêben, s földet lelê nêpênek.” A Følklānd-szigetek lakói tehát azóta is lovasnomád életet élnek, várva az értük eljövő hajóért, és bízva az általuk tisztelt Szent Verébben, mely címerállatuk is egyben. A helyi zenét jellemző furulya-koboz-brácsa központú szilaj pásztor hangzásban ötvöződnek az ősi dallamok és a Szabad Európa Rádión hallott nyugati beat zene.
